Things to Do at the Children’s Nature Retreat this Holiday Season

The autumn season is one of the nicest seasons of the year. The chilly winds are making us wear cozy clothing, and the smell of pumpkin spices lingers in every corner. While we’d all love to cuddle up in our pajamas at home, there are so many amazing things you can miss out on if you don’t go out. There’s no better way to spend the holiday season than at Children’s Nature Retreat! In today’s blog, we will go over the top things to do at Children’s Nature Retreat this holiday season!

Explore Our Pumpkin Patch

Visiting a pumpkin patch is a MUST to welcome the autumn season. Whether you use pumpkins for jack-o-lantern carvings or to bake those delicious pumpkin cupcakes you love, hand-choosing a pumpkin yourself is always fun. At Children’s Nature Retreat, we have a large pumpkin patch. It’s the perfect place to come with the kiddos and select the perfect pumpkin!

Meet the Animals

Our furry family has been growing, and we currently have more than 180+ domesticated livestock and exotic animals from around the world. Some of our animals were rescued from the harsh living conditions, and many of our animals have been acquired from owners who were unable to take care of them. It is rewarding to see them thrive in the Children’s Nature Retreat. If you love animals, then visiting Children’s Nature Retreat will be a dream come true! This place is designed to bring people and animals together. The six separate areas where our animals reside—each reflecting a different world in the animal kingdom—help create a fun and teachable experience for children and adults alike.

Host a Holiday Party

Whether it be a holiday party or you’re lucky enough to celebrate a birthday in the autumn season, our retreat is the ultimate place to come together with friends and family in celebration of a special occasion. At the Children’s Nature Retreat, you can have exclusive use of our venue for up to 100 guests! If you decide to book your next event with us, you’ll have access to the barn and picnic area and enjoy our animal park, with an optional guided tour!
